Subject	removing clear coat on wheels

Message	i have 3 piece wheels, so the center piece is out and its getting painted, but the lip i want to repolish it Ive tried using a furniture stripper to get the clear coat off with no luck, is there any other recommendations anyone has for removing it (besides sanding) i dont really want to sand just because im only gunna keep these wheels for 1 season
